Q1: What’s the power supply of VIGI cameras?
A: VIGI cameras support 12V DC or PoE (802.3af/at, class 0).
Q2: What is the viewing angle of VIGI cameras?
A: Viewing angle depends on focal length of lens.
2.8 mm: horizontal FOV: 105°, vertical FOV: 56°, diagonal FOV: 125°
4 mm: horizontal FOV: 92°, vertical FOV: 48°, diagonal FOV: 114°
6 mm, horizontal FOV: 54°, vertical FOV: 31°, diagonal FOV: 62°
Q3: Will VIGI cameras zoom?
A: VIGI cameras don't support optical zoom, but they support digital zoom.
Q4: How many simultaneous live view each camera supports?
A: One camera supports 4 main streams & 3 sub-streams, or 3 main streams & 5 sub-streams.
Q5: Does VIGI camera supports Web UI?
A: No. But you can manager VIGI camera via VIGI Security Manger, VIGI NVR or VIGI App.
Q6: Do VIGI cameras have a built-in speaker and microphone?
A: No. So VIGI cameras can’t record audio and you can’t speak via VIGI cameras.
Q7: Can I use VIGI cameras with third-party NVR?
A: VIGI cameras are Onvif Compliant. If third-party NVR is Onvif Compliant then they will work. However we recommend running VIGI cameras with VIGI NVR for a more full featured overall experience. Please refer to the link for details.
Q8: How to reset the VIGI cameras?
A: VIGI cameras can’t be reset. If you forget the password of the camera, you can reset the password.
Q9: Can I save the recordings to the computer?
A: Yes, you can refer to the link to save the recordings to the computer via VIGI Security Manager.
Q10: What’s the username/password of VIGI camera?
A: Username is admin and cannot be changed. Password is set when you first activated the camera. If you forget it, please refer to the link to reset the password.

Q1: Can Tapo cameras or Kasa cameras work with VIGI NVR?
A: Kasa cameras can’t work with VIGI NVR. But Tapo cameras can work with VIGI NVR as Tapo cameras support onvif protocol. You can refer to the link to add Tapo cameras to VIGI NVR. For Tapo C200, pan and tilt function is not available on VIGI NVR.
Q2: Is the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) included in the package?
A: No, it is not included. You need to buy HDD separately. Please prepare a 3.5-inch HDD and we recommend using HDD of enterprise or surveillance level.
Q3: What’s the capacity limit on HDD?
A: It is up to 10 TB.
Q4: Will recordings be saved to the cloud or just in the VIGI NVR?
A: Videos will be only stored on the HDD and VIGI NVR doesn’t support to be stored on cloud server.
Q5: How many cameras can I use with VIGI NVR1008?
A: VIGI NVR1008 has 8 channels designed to handle up to 8 cameras.
Q6: Do I have to have internet for this to work?
A: VIGI NVR and VIGI cameras can work without Internet, you can watch live view feed and playback recorded videos in NVR local side. But without Internet, you're not able to remotely access this device on your phone or PC and you can't receive motion detection alerts.

A: It is up to 256 but the maximum number of previews is 64.

A: Yes. But your VIGI cameras and VIGI NVR need to be bound to your TP-Link account so you can remotely view them.
