How to set up L2TP/IPSec VPN Client on Android and iPhone
L2TP over IPsec, a robust VPN protocol, combines the Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) with the Internet Protocol Security (IPsec). This powerful combination ensures not only secure data transmission but also robust remote access capabilities, providing you with peace of mind.
Please follow the steps below to set up the L2TP/IPSec VPN connection on Android and iPhone.
Android
1. Open your Android phone’s settings and go to More Connections > VPN > Add Network.
2. Enter Type, select L2TP/IPsec PSK.
3. Enter the server’s IP address and the IPsec pre-shared Key, then click Save.
4. Press the VPN profile, input the account name and password, and click Save.
Your device will display “Connected” once you've successfully established the L2TP/IPsec VPN connection. This confirmation assures you that your setup was successful, and your data is now secure.
iPhone
1. Open your iPhone (iOS) Settings and go to General > VPN & Device Management > VPN > Add VPN Configuration.
2. Enter Type, then select L2TP.
3. Enter your server’s IP, the L2TP account and Password, and the L2TP secret (Pre-shared key). Make sure Send All Traffic is on to ensure full traffic redirection. Then tap on Done.
4. Click VPN status to enable the L2TP/IPsec VPN.
5. If your configuration was successful, you will see "Connected."
