The EAP Controller is used to manage multiple EAPs intensively.

If you are planning to upgrade from the old controller(v3.2.10 or below) to this version, please read the Omada Controller Upgrade Guide in the installation package before upgrading the controller.
1. Add Facebook, SMS and Local User Authentication as Portal Authentication methods.
2. Support for multiple portal policies configured in Omada Controller.
3. Support for more customized portal page, the network administrator can add advertisement on the portal pages now.
4. Add speed and traffic limit based on Voucher.
5. Support for black/white list import.
6. Support configuring DNS on Static IP mode.
7. External Portal URL supports subdirectory, for example https://portal.demo.com/1.
8. Radius password supports special characters.
1. To use Omada Controller 2.5.x added new features, you need to upgrade your EAP's firmware to the corresponding version.
2. Once upgraded to this version of Omada Controller, you will NOT able to downgrade to an earlier version.
3. Portal configuration will be lost after upgraded to Controller 2.5.X from 2.4.X or earlier version.
This video will demonstration how to do a full configuration with TP-Link Omada products including gateway, switches and EAPs. As an example, we are going to build the wired and wireless networks from scratch at our TP-Link Office. The setup consists of 7 steps:
Step 1. Log in to the Controller
Step 2. Adopt Devices
Step 3. View Dashboard and Menus
Step 4. Set up WAN
Step 5. Set up LAN and VLANs
Step 6. Set up Wi-Fi
Step 7. Set up ACL
This video will demonstrate how to set up a TP-Link EAP via a web browser. The setup consists of three steps:
1. Connect the EAP to the network
2. Log into the EAP (via a wired/wireless connection)
3. Change the default SSID
This video is suitable for users with a small number (1-3) of EAPs .
