How to set up L2TP/IPSec VPN Client on Android Phone and iPhone

L2TP over IPsec is a VPN protocol that combines the Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) with the Internet Protocol Security (IPsec), providing secure data transmission and remote access capabilities.

Please follow the steps below to set up the L2TP/IPSec VPN connection on Android Phone and iPhone.

Android Phone

1. Open your Android phone settings and go to More connections>VPN>Add network.

2. Enter Type, select L2TP/IPsec PSK.

3. Enter the server’s IP address and the IPsec pre-shared Key, then click Save.

4. Press the VPN profile, then input the account name and password, click Save.

5. If the L2TP/IPsec VPN connection has been established successfully, it will show Connected.

iPhone

1. Open your iPhone (iOS) Settings and go to General>VPN & Device Management>VPN>Add VPN Configuration.

2. Enter Type, select L2TP.

3. Enter your server’s IP, the L2TP account and Password, the L2TP secret (Pre-shared key). Make sure Send All Traffic is on to ensure a full traffic redirection. Then tap on Done.

4. Please click on the VPN status option to enable the L2TP/IPsec VPN

5. if you have a successful connection, you can see "Connected".
